I’ve been so excited to feature Amanda on the blog! For Amanda’s senior session, she wanted a bright and cheery rustic/city look. Amanda is a Class of 2018 Senior from Eagan High School and we had so much fun photographing her in this historic downtown area! The outfits she chose were just perfect- I know she had a hard time deciding what to wear, but the variety in outfits turned out just perfect! The black romper is always a classic, stunning choice. Her mom joined us for the senior shoot, and I’m loving the pictures we got of the two of them (one of my favorite parts of any senior session)! Get to know Amanda!
Q: What high school do you attend?
A: Eagan High School
Q: Do you have college plans? If so, what are they?
A: I want to study criminology and become a profiler
Q: What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
A: I am involved in High Schools against cancer, student government, and students against destructive decisions
Q: How was your senior portrait experience?
A: Amazing, I wouldn’t have wanted it to go any other way
Q: What sort of style were you going for in your senior pictures? Was this accomplished?
A: They were more rustic with a small city kind of look, which was just what I wanted
Q: Why did you choose Photography by Nealy for your senior portraits?
A: I had heard nothing but good things about her from past girls and it was the best experience of my life
Q: What advice would you give someone about planning outfits for their senior pictures?
A: PLAN AHEAD!! Pick bright colors with outfits that you love and always make sure to accent with fun jewelry
Q: Do you have any shopping advice? Please share where you purchased the main pieces you wore in your pictures.
A: I loved brighter colors.
Q: What ended up being your favorite outfit, and why?
A: My red shirt with jeans and heels. I feel like the brighter colors make you pop more and make you feel so much more confident, it was my sassiest outfit.
Q: Any tips for how to prepare for senior pictures?
A: Do not wait till the last minute, pick your outfits and how you want your hair, make sure you have all your jewelry and are ready on time.
Q: Is there anything you would do differently, if you could do it all again?
A: There is nothing I would’ve done differently, it was the easiest thing and so fun!
Q: What was your favorite part of working with Nealy?
A: She made it so easy and fun, it didn’t even feel like I was taking my senior pictures.
FUN FACTS ABOUT AMANDA
My favorite celebrity is Chrissy Teigen. My favorite restaurant is Oceanaire Seafood. My favorite drink is a smoothie and favorite food is teriyaki chicken. I love to shop at Lululemon. Senior year has been hard, senior slide isn’t real. Someday I want to travel the world with the people I love.
