Jackson was so much fun to work with! A Class of 2018 Senior from Eastview High School, Jackson is an awesome track and cross country star and I love that he is involved at his church as well! His pictures turned out great – and he chose a nice variety of outfits too!
Q: What high school do you attend?
A: Eastview High School
Q: Do you have college plans? If so, what are they?
A: I plan to go to St. Olaf College and study biology.
Q: What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
A: I run cross country and track for Eastview, play on an intramural basketball team, am involved with NHS, and teach sunday school at my church.
Q: How was your senior portrait experience?
A: It was awesome! The actual picture-taking was a lot less awkward and forced than I had expected it to be going in, and I love the pictures that came out of the shoot!
Q: What sort of style were you going for in your senior pictures? Was this accomplished?
A: We were definitely going for a lot of the shots having nature as the background of the picture, and I wanted to look very comfortable and natural in each picture, and I would say those goals were definitely accomplished with almost all of the pictures.
Q: Why did you choose Photography by Nealy for your senior portraits?
A: I’d seen her senior pictures on Instagram before, and my family and I had done shoots with Nealy in the past and had great experiences working with her.
Q: What advice would you give someone about planning what to wear for their senior pictures?
A: I would say wear things that make you look good and feel good about yourself, and if/when you bring multiple outfits, make sure they’re not the same type of outfit, mix it up a little.
Q: What ended up being your favorite look, and why?
A: I liked a lot of the pictures of me squatting down, and in terms of facial expression, soft smiling seemed to turn out pretty well for me.
Q: What was your favorite part of working with Nealy?
A: I really appreciated how natural and comfortable she made the shoot feel, especially since I hadn’t had any experience with professional photography before and was a little nervous about the whole experience going in.

My favorite celebrity is Justin Timberlake. My favorite restaurant is Lions Tap in Eden Prarie. My favorite drink is Coke Cherry and favorite food is french fries. I like to shop at the nike and under armour outlets, american eagle, and patagonia stores. Senior year has been kind of a grind, but overall a fun time. Someday I want to become a dermatologist.
