Carly is an amazing girl that I have had the great pleasure of getting to know since she was 11! Carly is a Class of 2018 Senior at Eastivew, was a Senior Model for me this year, and has also been our family’s babysitter for years! She’s such a joy and is truly beautiful on the inside and out. A: Eastview High SchoolQ: Do you have college plans? If so, what are they?
A: I plan to go to either the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire or the University of St. Thomas.
A: I am involved in competitive Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, LINC, German National Honors Society, German Club, Intramural Badminton and Intramural Bowling. Outside of school I babysit, work as a Shift Manager at Brueggers Bagels, work as an Office Assistant and run a Mary Kay business as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant.Q: How was your senior portrait experience?
A: My senior portrait experience was fun! I felt comfortable with Nealy, and felt that the pictures she took were at the best quality. She was very good at helping me with different poses that looked great on camera.
Q: What sort of style were you going for in your senior pictures? Was this accomplished?
A: I was going for a style that people would see me wearing most days. I felt that this style was accomplished.
Q: Why did you choose Photography by Nealy for your senior portraits?
A: I have been babysitting for Nealy for six years and have seen all the beautiful work she has done. I knew I wanted to do my senior portraits with her even at that age, not only because of the beautiful pictures, but also because of the fun and professional experience each photo shoot had.
Q: What advice would you give someone about planning outfits for their senior pictures?
A: I would tell somebody to wear things that you may already have in your closet, and build off of those ideas. Outfits in stores may be cute, but your senior pictures should represent you, not a different person! I would also make sure to bring lots of options to chose from!
Q: Do you have any shopping advice? Please share where you purchased the main pieces you wore in your pictures.
A: I went to express and purchased a lot of my clothes there, as well as American Eagle. I borrowed some my friends jewelry for the shoot as well!
Q: What ended up being your favorite outfit, and why?
A: My favorite outfit was the blue top with the white jeans. I felt that I wear lots of clothes that are similar to that style, and I loved the way the blue looked with my skin tone.
Q: Any tips for how to prepare for senior pictures?
A: Get lots of rest and don’t stress out too much! It may also be smart to bring some powder in case it is hot outside!
Q: Is there anything you would do differently, if you could do it all again?
A: I would probably look more into my dress choices.
Q: What was your favorite part of working with Nealy?
A: My favorite part about working with Nealy is that she was very relatable and fun to be around! I had a great time not only at my personal senior shoot, but also the senior model shoot in May! I made lots of new friends there and had lots of fun.
My favorite celebrity is Demi Lovato. My favorite restaurant is The Nook. My favorite drink is a Chai Tea Latte, and favorite food is Lasagna. I love to shop at Hollister. Senior year has been full of new memories. Someday I want to be successful in my career and have a happy, balanced, life.
